The Ligo species is a level 11 (endangered) breed of frogs. The Latin prefix lig- means "tie, bind".
Ligo frogs have two stripes in the pattern color forming a wide "X" pattern in the center of the frog body and on both of the hind legs. It resembles string or rope tied around the frog body and legs, hence the name "Ligo."
